State Rep. Jason Brown To Return From Iraq Today

( Platte City )  Missouri State Representative Jason Brown of Platte City will return from Iraq today at 5:00 p.m. He will be greeted by friends and family at the Kansas City International Airport .

In October, Brown was shot in the lung by a sniper during a mission to assess several electrical infrastructure facilities in Adhamiyah. Brown was awarded the Bronze Star for “exceptional meritorious service” during combat in Iraq.  He serves as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserve and has been deployed for more than 14 months.

Brown, of Platte City, represents the 30th District in the Missouri House, which covers much of central and southern Platte County.
